Community guidelines
Kinspeople works because everyone agrees to the same simple rules. Guests accept them with every request, and hosts accept them when they start hosting.
The spirit of it
Kinspeople is for friendly company: someone to grab a coffee with, explore a neighbourhood or practise a language. Every plan is platonic, happens at one public place and stays in the app from first message to payment.
Guest agreement
- Kinspeople is platonic companionship only. No romantic or sexual services, requests or contact.
- Meet only at the public place in the booking. Never at a home, hotel room or private space, and don't move somewhere else.
- Keep every message and payment in the app. Don't share phone numbers, emails, social handles or links.
- Treat each other with respect. Either person can end the kinship at any time and leave.
- Report anything that feels wrong. In an emergency, call 911 first.
- The host can decline or end the activity if these rules aren't followed.
- You're 18 or older and the account is yours.

- Your activities are things you actually host, described honestly, at a real public place.
- Your photos and name are really you. Your phone number is your own mobile number.
- You're 18 or older, and you're responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.
What counts as a public place
Cafés, libraries, museums, galleries, parks, markets and similar spaces open to everyone. Homes, hotel rooms, cars and other private spaces never qualify. Our team checks every activity's place before it goes live.
If something goes wrong
- In an emergency, call 911 first.
- You can end the activity and leave at any time, for any reason.
- Report the person or message from their profile or the chat, or use our contact form and choose “Safety concern”.
Our team reviews every report. Depending on what happened, we may warn someone, remove an activity, or suspend or close an account. Read more on our safety page.
