Trust & safety
How to meet someone new safely in Toronto
Every plan on Kinspeople happens at a public place you can see before you book, with a host who has verified a local mobile number. Guests and hosts agree to the same house rules every time.
Trust & safety
Safe by design
Simple rules that make meeting someone new feel easy, for guests and hosts alike.
Same house rules for everyone
Guests and hosts agree to the same simple rules with every booking, so everyone knows what to expect.
Public places, checked
Every activity is linked to a public place on Google Maps, and our team checks anything unclear before it goes live.
Phone verified hosts
Hosts verify a Toronto or GTA mobile number. Virtual numbers aren't accepted.
Chats stay in the app
Phone numbers, emails and links are blocked, and you can send up to 3 messages until a host replies.
Swap PINs, pay after feedback
Time starts only when you both enter each other's PIN at the place. Your card is held until you both leave feedback.
Report or block anytime
Either person can leave at any time, and report or block from any profile or chat.
House rules
The rules everyone agrees to
Guests agree with every request. Hosts agree when they start hosting, for each activity they add, and again when they accept a booking.
Guest agreement
- Kinspeople is platonic companionship only. No romantic or sexual services, requests or contact.
- Meet only at the public place in the booking. Never at a home, hotel room or private space, and don't move somewhere else.
- Keep every message and payment in the app. Don't share phone numbers, emails, social handles or links.
- Treat each other with respect. Either person can end the kinship at any time and leave.
- Report anything that feels wrong. In an emergency, call 911 first.
- The host can decline or end the activity if these rules aren't followed.
- You're 18 or older and the account is yours.

FAQ
Safety questions
Where do we meet?
At one public place, like a café, library, museum or park. Every booking has a single meeting place, which you see on a map when you request a time. There are no multi-stop plans or rides between places.
Is Kinspeople a dating app?
No. Kinspeople is for friendly, platonic plans: you meet a local at a public place for something you both enjoy.
How are hosts verified?
Hosts verify a Toronto or GTA mobile number, agree to the house rules, and every activity's place is checked before it goes live.
What if something doesn't feel right?
You can leave at any time. Then report it from the profile or chat, and our team will review it. Accounts that break the house rules are closed.
What should I do in an emergency?
Call 911 first. Then let us know in the app so we can act on the account.
